Separate whites and yolks.

3 eggs

Beat egg yolks.

Add ingredients to beaten yolks.

1 cup sugar

1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts)

1 package pitted dates, chopped

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

pinch salt

Stir mixture (somewhat dry).

Beat egg whites.

Fold beaten egg whites into mixture.

Spread mixture in greased baking pan.

For 1" thick, use 8" x 8" dish.

Use larger dish, for thinner bars.

Bake at 350’ for about 30 minutes.

Cut into bars.

Sift powdered sugar over
